"Ulster County has made much progress, but we still need to do so much more. I am running for County Legislator to make sure everyone has a secure future and that no one is left behind.”
About Joe
I was born and raised in Kingston, NY, and attended elementary, middle and high school in Kingston. I was the fourth out of 5 children to a single working mother, and have two sons who were raised and still reside locally. My family is now in its fifth generation in Ulster County.
I have been employed by the Kingston Water Department for 28 years. I served as shop steward for Local 750 AFSCME for 20 years. I served on the Ulster County Human Rights committee for 10 years. I am a former City of Kingston Democratic Committee chairman..
Joe’s Priorities
Affordable Housing for All
As everyone knows, Ulster has a housing crisis. Rents and mortgages have skyrocketed. Ulster County must become a leader in developing affordable, safe housing alternatives for all.
Sustainable Job Opportunities
As the cost of living has increased, wages have not, and the ability to earn a reasonable living is slipping away. Ulster needs to bring companies here that will supply viable and sustaining jobs. We need job training that will educate people for the jobs of the future.
Increased Mental Health Services
As the pandemic has entered its third year, it’s clear to see the effect that it’s had. Substance and alcohol abuse are at record levels. More councilors and access are needed for those who need it.
Working for a better Ulster County for all.
