NYS Supreme Court Justice
The NYS Supreme Court oversees major civil and criminal cases, and Ulster County is part of the court’s Third Judicial District, which spans seven counties: Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Schoharie, Sullivan, and Ulster. This year there is one vacancy and the term of office is 14 years.

Family Court Judge
Ulster County’s three Family Court Judges preside over court cases related to family law, including child custody and support, domestic violence, and adoptions. There is one vacancy this year, for a ten-year term.

Hon. William T. Little brings nearly two decades of distinguished service as a judge, trial attorney, litigator, and legal counsel. Currently serving as an Acting Supreme Court Justice and County Court Judge in the Third Judicial District, he presides over complex legal matters including trials, Article 78 proceedings, Temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order Hearings, and grand jury proceedings.

As principal law clerk to Ulster County Family Court Judge Sarah Rakov, she brings over 21 years of experience in public service, specializing in complex legal expertise related to Family Court, settlement conferences, contract management, and environmental law.
