Voting is the foundation of our Democracy

This year, when our freedoms are at risk, it is more important than ever for all of us to cast our votes and make our voices heard.

This social media campaign is designed to both inspire people to care about voting, and also remind people that November 8th is Election Day—believe it or not, sometimes people forget!

There are three easy steps:

1. Take a photo or video that expresses your passion for voting this year and upload it to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or whatever social media you enjoy. (If you’re making a video and want to get fancy, feel free to add this GET OUT THE VOTE BANJO audio clip!)

2. Mention in your post that Election Day is November 8th. Include the hashtags #UlsterVotes, #VoteBlue2022, and #VotingMatters (this will help others find your posts and share them!) and tag Ulster County Democrats in your post (Facebook: @UlsterCountyDems, Instagram: @UlsterDems).

3. Once you have posted, share your post with friends and in any groups you belong to that you think will enjoy. Also search on the three campaign hashtags to see what others are posting, and if you see one that moves you, share that, too!

That’s it! And if you are going to be seeing friends and neighbors between now and Election Day, also consider printing out these handy election information flyers which list candidates, voting info, and even sample ballots.
