About William
In just a few months as Ulster County Legislator I have fought for the rights of our immigrant communities, raised awareness on County child abuse, advocated for veteran property tax relief, supported affordable housing for seniors and fought against the closing of a cancer support center.
I supported an effort to keep County property taxes from rising, sponsored a bill that aims to support the families of fallen law enforcement officers by alleviating some County tax burdens. My work also involved County actions focused on social services, public safety, and infrastructure.
William’s Priorities
My priorities are to make housing more affordable, strengthen workforce development, and support legislation that benefits marginalized communities. I’ll work to protect our climate, tenants, and LGBTQIA+ residents; expand options for aging in place and home care; and support programs like ORACLE to keep fentanyl and other life-threatening drugs out of our communities. I’ll also pursue microtransit to connect residents with ride-sharing services, modernize water and sewer infrastructure, and grow our volunteer emergency response workforce.
