About Lindsey

Lindsey Grossman is the Ulster County Legislator representing District 19, including Rosendale and Marbletown. Since taking office in 2026, she has worked to make Ulster County more affordable, support good jobs and small businesses, strengthen public services, and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly. Her work includes sponsoring a new law lowering property taxes for eligible affordable homeowners and helping secure funding for important community institutions.

A High Falls resident and business advisor, Lindsey brings nearly 20 years of leadership experience across public policy, technology, and business and is running for reelection to keep delivering meaningful results for Ulster County.

Lindsey’s Priorities

— Lower the Cost of Housing

Ulster County needs more homes that working people can afford to rent and own. I’m working to expand housing supply, reduce the long-term cost of homeownership (including property tax incentives), invest in infrastructure that makes new housing possible, and pursue practical solutions that keep our communities accessible to people at every stage of life.

— Expand Affordable, Quality Childcare

Childcare is essential infrastructure for families and our economy. I’m working to expand access to affordable, quality childcare by supporting providers, strengthening the childcare workforce, and identifying practical ways County government can help create more options for families across Ulster County.

— Create Good Jobs and Expand Economic Opportunity

Ulster County needs more good-paying jobs and a more diverse economy. I’m focused on attracting and growing industries such as advanced manufacturing, supporting local entrepreneurs and existing businesses including in our tourism and agriculture sectors, investing in workforce development, and creating more pathways to stable, family-sustaining careers.

— Protect Services and Taxpayers

County government must deliver strong services while respecting every tax dollar. As a member of the Ways & Means Committee, I closely examine spending, ask tough questions, and look for smart ways to fund priorities, ensure our social services meet the needs of our residents, strengthen emergency services, and ensure residents get real value from county government.

— Protect Our Environment and Communities

Protecting what makes Ulster County special means planning for the future. I’m working to advance smart growth, clean energy, protect open space and natural resources, improve walking, biking and public transportation options, and better prepare our communities for the impacts of climate change.
